When I first discovered these pants, I found it so hard to get a pair as they were always sold out...I thought "they must be really good if they're never in stock!" I was really happy when they eventually did come into stock and I bought a couple of pairs. First impressions: Overall, comfortable, nicely laid out pockets, clever elasticated waist that adjusts (you don't really need a belt with these, but it does complete the look!) they are also a bit 'fitted' in design too...Not a bad thing, but not a tad baggy like a lot of combat pants are. Now, the negatives: Firstly, these are made of a pre-washed cotton....I washed mine on a cold wash with non-bio liquid soap, and when they came out the fabric was slightly lighter with lightening of the seamed edges...Not a major problem, but noticable. Secondly, the zip fly opening is smaller than on standard combat pants, with a zip length of about 4.5"...This is also hampered by a ridiculous inner button tab that makes the fly opening even smaller if you needed to use it. Thirdly, these are only cotton fabric - don't expect ballistic grade trousers - I snagged a knee and put a hole in them straight away (I've had better quality cheap work combats from Sports Direct that would top this fabric for wear and tear). Fourth, the main bug with these pants is the two waist side pockets below the waistband. There is a major problem here, and I question Pentagon's quality control; All trouser pockets have a lining, and this usually starts deep inside the pocket itself where you cant see it...Usually about 8cm in....Not on these pants, as it starts 1cm under the pocket entry flap....These makes them look cheap a.f.... when you so much as either walk or sit down, the pocket fabric pulls back and reveals a raw edge of trouser fabric (which is now fraying), 2 lines of stitching and the thin cotton pocket lining. This is either a very poor design decision or some extremely bad quality control in China. They are called ELGON 2 for a reason....I really wonder how bad the ELGON 1 was. In all seriousness, these are TACTICOOL pants....NOT TACTICAL. Great for weekend warriors who like to run around with expensive toy guns once a month, but if you are a serious contractor who needs genuinely good gear, avoid purchasing this particular overpriced pant. I have contacted Pentagon directly about these issues and backed up the claims with images...Still awaiting a response.

These trousers are great ! Well made , good quality materials, well worth the money. Working in the security industry it’s important to look smart and feel comfortable in your work cloths . Definitely be buying these or similar again . 10/10
