Quality kit

I purchased an Exped large dry bag and a rucksack liner. They are pretty much the same (rucksack liner slightly larger) and both are high quality. I own several heavy duty dry bags that are robust but stiff and heavy. These are lightweight and very flexible. I have used them on a 2 week trip and they still look brand new. The grey/silver lining does make it easier to see the contents and find things. I used them inside bags to keep kit dry so cannot comment on how robust they would be if used as stand-alone bags. Overall, very pleased and recommend them.

TL;DR - just buy it!

Exped's liners are hard to beat in most (95+%) situations, and are very durable: I have a very well used (10+ years-old) Exped side-pouch liner that I use to keep my laptop protected from any liquid that may ********* my daily rucksack, and it is only just starting to show signs of separating from its stiffener, yet it still does the job and protects its contents. If you are replacing an older liner, be aware that the newer models have a narrower stiffener and, in consequence, smaller buckles and - more importantly - D-rings. (Not that I have ever used the D-rings, but it may make a difference to somebody.) Yes, there are other liners that will be more suited if you are expecting to experience sustained immersion in water; but for most applications Exped's will prove more than sufficient, weigh next to nothing and take up minimal space when rolled and stored.
