The Brynje Super T-Shirt is designed to provide warmth and maximum breathability. The advantages of this 100% mesh design are clear when worn; The mesh traps warm air close to the body, while still allowing all perspiration to pass out and evaporate. Had enough of feeling warm but also wet? Well, this is the shirt for you. A real must for any military, police or security professional but also popular for hiking, cycling and many more outdoor activities.
The Brynje Super Thermo range has been made to meet the requirements of military users and has been field tested by the Norwegian Special Forces to ensure performance. The secret to its superb performance is a simple one...air! There really is nothing better at insulting while breathing and staying dry. Brynje understands that keeping warm means keeping dry and that's why they prioritised moisture wicking above all else; The mesh layer moves excess moisture away from the skin while maintaining a cushion of air next to the body for warmth. Unlike with other materials, the moisture leaves quickly stopping your shirt from becoming sodden and keeping you warm. This is great for temperature regulation and is the reason why Brynje has become so popular.

I tackled the Montane Spine Challenger event in January. It was blustery and cold but I kept super warm using this T-Shirt as my base layer
Warmest, driest base layer top I've ever worn. Excellent service from UKMCpro.
I thought merino baselayers were great until I tried Brynje mesh. I'm back to buy more as I use them for Scottish winter hillwalking and ice climbing. I run hot, so tend to get damp on the walk-in, and even merino can chafe a bit, or feel a little clammy after exertion in sub zero temps. Brynje mesh is just far more comfortable, as well feeling lighter and being easy to look after (it's synthetic, after all). Under a performance softshell like a Buffalo Mountain Shirt the Brynje is far more successful than merino at letting the Buffalo do it's thing- all about wicking away moisture where wool tends to hold it (albeit reasonably comfortably). At the end of the day a minimally damp Brynje is a much better companion in a tent than a damp merino layer. And as for the warmth - as long as you have a layer above it -it's full of air (or 'holes' as we used to call them) and fabulously warm. With a windproof layer over it you'll be as snug as a proverbial, it extends the performance of insulating layers enormously. UKMC had the best price and fast delivery, what's not to like -you can pay more elsewhere for a daft cotton T-short with a band's name on it.
